The programmeaims to develop the rural economy - the focal task of the national target on new-style rural area building.

After four years of implementation, the programme has yielded important achievements and created strong response in building new-style rural areas.

The province sets a target of having 150 OCOP products rated as three-star upwards, at least 3 percent of which are recognised as five-star products, by 2025.

In 2022, Ninh Binh is striving to standardize 34 OCOP products and have 100 percent of management cadres of all levels, households, cooperatives to join training courses on enhancing organisation capacity.

The province is building a synchronous OCOP product management and control system and  applying digital technology in OCOP product quality control.

In addition, more due attention will be paid to renovating and designing OCOP products in combination with preserving traditional handicraft villages; and enhancing the communication work and trade promotions.

Ninh Binh will set up and multiply points and centers for introducing and  promoting OCOP products in districts and cities.

The major tasks and solutions the 2022-2025 period include enhancing communication onOCOP products and programme; organising training course on the OCOP programme; zoning off and developing material areas of special farm produce associated with OCOP products.

The province will develop OCOP products under value chains and in line local conditions; support the application of scientific and technological advances in processing OCOP products; step up trade promotions and demand-supply connection; and building a system to manage and monitor OCOP products.
